GDC San Francisco 2015

hms_smallWe’re flat out working on a new build of Her Majesty’s SPIFFING to bring to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next week. Its been a busy few months as we decided to take the plunge and switch our game engine from Unity 4 to the beta version of Unity 5. It’s fair to say that this hasn’t been as easy as we’d have liked however the benefits outweigh any negatives in the long term for the game. On the visual side of things we’ve been spending a bit of time getting familiar with Unity’s new lighting system which will result in a big jump in visual quality aboard the HMSS Imperialise. You can see the difference already in the screenshot below:

So if you’re in town for GDC or Game Connection next week feel free to get in touch, we’re more than happy to show how Her Majesty’s SPIFFING is progressing to anyone displaying even nominal interest!

Also, remember to keep an eye on our Kickstarter campaign page, we’ll posting monthly updates on how development is progressing!

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING

hms_smallWell folks, we thought we best officially introduce you to Her Majesty’s SPIFFING, our new quintessentially British point and click adventure game set in space.

While it would give us no greater pleasure than to sit here and write zealously about our game we feel that our lead protagonist, Captain Frank Lee English, can best explain the nature of this game himself:

We’ve been working on the game for a few months now, and, while the game is still very much in it’s formative stages, we’ve been able to scrape together some early prototype gameplay footage:

Although, as determined as we are to continue developing this hilarious interstellar adventure we can’t go on without your support! We’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to try and raise some much needed funds to finish developing our game, we would heartily urge you to visit our campaign page where you can find out even more information about the project and learn how you can contribute to it’s development!

In addition, you can keep up to date on how the game is progressing on our Steam Greenlight page. We’d politely ask folk to venture over there too and up vote our game so, when it’s done, we’ll be able to release it on Valve’s Steam platform.

Keep an eye on our campaign page and our twitter for more updates, we hope we can count on your support!

Coming soon

BillyGoatAppWell folks, we’ve been hard at work the last few months on a prototype of a new, 3D point and click adventure game that we are sure you folks will enjoy. We’re a long way off finishing the game, it’s a bit of a departure from previous smart phone games of ours, we’re hoping to develop the game for PC/ Mac/ Linux first (with a vision to doing tablet and hopefully console versions down the line). We’ll have more information for you soon but for now, head on over to our concept page on Steam Greenlight and check out how things are progressing. Oh, and here is one of the game’s protagonists, Cpt Frank Lee English, to fill you in on what the game is about. Enjoy!

Check out Her Majesty’s SPIFFING on Steam Greenlight for our prototype gameplay footage, screenshots and more.

BillyGoat @ Q-Con 2013

BillyGoatAppWell, it has been quite a bit of time since we’ve posted anything here, although fret not, just as one would find when adopting a new, high fibre diet, things are going to get a lot more regular around here! We’ve been  busy this last few months working on a new project that we will be unveiling to the public later on this month at Q-Con, Ireland’s largest Gaming and Anime convention, taking place between 28th-30th June. We’ll be taking our place in the Indie Arcade with a near complete version of our latest game on the Saturday and Sunday so be sure to drop by and say “hi” to the Goat.

We’re very keen to hear your thoughts on our latest mobile game and will be giving away shameless promotional merchandise to folks that do particularly well in the game, so be sure to ask about that if you’re in attendance!

For those of you not fortunate enough to be in town during Q-Con, don’t worry, we’ll be revealing more about our latest game very soon.
